Daniel E. Taub

Experienced Trial Lawyer

Daniel E. Taub is an experienced trial lawyer. Daniel began trying cases even before graduating law school as a Certified Legal Intern. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office where he tried over 35 cases to verdict.

Daniel was born in Manhasset, New York and moved to Palm Beach County with his family nearly twenty years ago. Daniel has lived and worked in Palm Beach County ever since. 

Daniel is an experienced litigation attorney with extensive experience in trial practice, motion practice, and all other phases of litigation. Daniel served as an Assistant State Attorney and as a Certified Legal Intern for the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office for over 4 years. He was, and still is, in the courtroom nearly every day. 

In his time as an Assistant State Attorney, Daniel was responsible for thousands of Felonies and Misdemeanors, ranging from DUI to offenses punishable by life imprisonment. He was quickly promoted to supervising attorney where he was responsible for 3-4 other attorneys at any given time. His responsibilities as supervising attorney included training new attorneys, training certified legal interns, and leading the day-to-day operations in his division, both in the office and in the courtroom. 

Daniel was also responsible for making filing decisions in DUI cases, allocating cases to other attorneys, and dealing with attorney and support staff interaction and practices. Thereafter, Daniel was promoted to the felony trial division where he handled hundreds of cases at any given time, prosecuting offenses ranging from third degree felonies to offenses punishable by life imprisonment.  

While at the State Attorney’s Office Daniel was chosen to attend the Winter 2020 Education Program for Prosecutors in Miramar Beach, FL. He volunteered to serve as an attorney participant for both the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County’s Sealing and Expungement Workshop and the State Attorney’s Office Sealing and Expungement Workshops. Daniel was also chosen to attend the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor Advanced DUI Seminar in Lake Mary, FL, making him extremely well-versed in DUI law and allowing him to provide exceptional representation for his clients.  

After serving as an Assistant State Attorney, Daniel began work at one of the largest civil litigation firms in Florida. There, he honed his litigation skills even further, focusing his practice on complex commercial litigation and legal malpractice matters. Daniel worked to defend individuals and corporations in complex matters, some with millions of dollars at stake. Daniel’s experience in the area of legal malpractice defense, defending lawyers in legal malpractice lawsuits. This experience gives Daniel a unique perspective, able to see errors and mistakes other lawyers make, ensuring he does not make those same errors and mistakes. 

While in law school Daniel served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Matthew I. Destry in and for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit. He also worked as a summer intern at a large personal injury law firm. 

Daniel majored in criminal justice and political science during his undergraduate studies. This gives Daniel a deep and unique understanding of the criminal justice system and how it functions. 

A lifelong motorcyclist and car enthusiast, Daniel enjoys working on cars and motorcycles in his spare time.
